Faithful God, we thank you for the blessing of a new day and week.
We give thanks to you Lord for Your steadfast love and enduring mercy.
Thank you for keeping us and watching over us as the apple of your eye.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to seek your face for cleansing for newness through fasting – Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to lose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?
Thank you for your grace and power – our strength is made perfect in weakness.
Thank you for giving us the Word of life guiding us in the way of truth – “Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path” – Psalm 119:105
Thank you for being our refuge and help in time of trouble – Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble”.
Thank you for our families, church, community and nation. Thank you for successful medical procedures, journey mercies in all our travels, protection, favour and hope in trying times.
Thank you Lord for daily mercies, and surrounding us with many victories – Psalm 118:10-13 “10 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down. 11 They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down. 12 They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them down. 13 I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me.
Thank you Lord for your covenant – covenant to honour those who honour and fear you.
Thank you for being our strength and our defense – Psalm 118:14 “The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation”.
